The Australian outdoor hospitality industry gathered on the Gold Coast for the National Caravan Industry Conference 2026, where a large trade exhibition showcased the latest products, services and technologies for campgrounds, holiday parks and tourism operators.
Organised by the Caravan Industry Association of Australia, the conference brought together industry stakeholders from across the country, creating an important platform for networking, knowledge sharing and business development. For the Camping Business editorial team, the event provided a valuable opportunity to look beyond Europe and gain insight into trends and business models emerging on the other side of the world.
While Australia and Europe differ in geography, visitor behaviour and market structure, many of the challenges facing campground and holiday park operators are remarkably similar. For this reason, the Australian industry can often provide useful inspiration, whether in the fields of accommodation development, guest services, digitalisation, accessibility or operational efficiency.
The video report opens with Stuart Lamont, Chief Executive Officer of the Caravan Industry Association of Australia, who explains the significance of the conference for the country’s caravanning and outdoor tourism sectors.
Among the exhibitors featured are Accessible Accommodations, presenting solutions designed to improve inclusivity and accessibility in tourism, and Alphaville Tiny Homes, showcasing accommodation concepts that continue to attract interest from holiday park operators seeking to diversify their offering. The report also includes BIG4 Holiday Parks of Australia, one of the country’s best-known holiday park networks, and Bookeasy Australia, which focuses on digital solutions for bookings and business management.
Visitors will also discover companies such as Camperclean Australia, Camping.care, DECO Australia and Gervale Homes, alongside representatives from Made In Australia, Porcelux, Rugger Group Australia and Storable | Newbook. Together, they provide a snapshot of the technologies, materials, services and management tools currently supporting the evolution of Australia’s outdoor hospitality sector.
For European operators, suppliers and investors, the exhibition offers more than a simple overview of the Australian market. It provides an opportunity to identify emerging trends, compare approaches and gather ideas that may help shape the future of outdoor hospitality businesses closer to home.
