After a long wait, a health protocol dedicated to outdoor facilities has also been developed in France. The incredible thing is that this document, available on the website of the Ministry of Labor, was published three weeks after the reopening of the accommodation facilities was authorized. The delay is due to the numerous meetings that were necessary between the government and FNHPA and UNAPAREL to finalize the plan.
The result is a 16-page document that contains a series of recommendations and prescriptions that could be updated based on the epidemiological trend. It was drawn up taking into account the views of the Ministry of Health, the High Council for Public Health, professionals in the outdoor hotel sector and trade union organizations.
To manage all the procedures, the accommodation must appoint and form a contact person who will be responsible for applying the protocol, while within the structure an area must be set up to deal with the suspected cases of Covid-19. Social distancing of at least 1 meter, use of personal protective equipment and sanitation are the key points addressed in the document.
Group activities, respecting the distancing rules, must be limited to a maximum of 10 people, while in the swimming pools there may not be more than 1 person for every 4 square meters. In common sanitary blocks, access must be limited, and frequent sanitization operations must be used.
