From ECA Technology columns for electric vehicles and photovoltaic shelters

Electric mobility and sustainability are two elements with which it is now necessary to deal with each other on a daily basis, and open-air accommodation facilities can no longer postpone their assessments. On the first front, it is essential to start preparing us to welcome guests who, more and more numerous, will arrive at the campsites aboard electric vehicles. These people will absolutely need to recharge their batteries, and for them to choose a structure or not will also depend on having this possibility.

When it comes to energy, it is important to keep the focus on sustainability and, today, also on costs. If it is true that the main suppliers allow you to choose energy from renewable sources, it is also true that in any case the price is soaring, due to the high gas and oil prices. This makes the use of self-production through a photovoltaic system much more interesting. This allows you to generate energy for yourself and for any charging columns, selling the energy thus obtained.

Wellbeing for man, respect for the environment

ECA Technology in pursuing its mission of combining human well-being and respect for the environment, has therefore developed a dual offer: that of charging columns and that of photovoltaic modules that can be easily used, for example, on the parking lots shelters. The columns offer a maximum charging power of 22 kW for 3-phase installations and 7.4 in single-phase. The charging mode is type 3 and takes place through a power supply system permanently connected to the frid.

The user can connect with the type 2 connector, normally used by electric cars, and the connection of multiple users is possible both via the cards and via the web platform or the dedicated app. The system is always connected via Wi-Fi, Ethernet cable or Bluetooth, thus allowing remote control using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

The Power Sharing system constantly measures the power available for the charging network and automatically distributes it to all connected points. In this way, it is possible to simultaneously charge multiple electric vehicles in less time, using the available power of the infrastructure in a more efficient and balanced way.

Decarbonize the electrical system

Entrusting the production of electricity to renewable energy sources by decarbonising the system is the goal that ECA Technology has shared and promoted for the past 40 years. For this reason, the company, with the experience of thousands of systems installed in Italy, offers custom-designed photovoltaic systems also for car park shelters. ECA Technology panels offer high performance and ease of installation, ensuring long-term high yields.

To maximize the efficiency of the photovoltaic system, it is also possible to store energy using storage systems. In this way, it can also be exploited in the hours when solar radiation is reduced, in the evening or on rainy days, thus obtaining greater independence from the electricity vendor.

The panels are particularly resistant thanks to the combination of the materials they are made of: low iron tempered glass with anti-reflective treatment, anodized aluminum frame and hollow chamber frame. The modules are made of monocrystalline silicon and can reach up power of 540 Watts. ECA Technology’s product has the CL1 fire resistance certification and is guaranteed for 25 years on linear power and up to 15 years in its entirety.
