Club del Sole, an important company in Italy in the outdoor beach holiday sector, supports the research of the Digital Innovation in Tourism Observatory as a partner, promoted by the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano. The Digital Innovation in Tourism Observatory was born in 2014, with the aim of disseminating the opportunities and impact of digital technologies on companies in the sector, on institutions and on individual citizens. The Observatory community includes over 50,000 accommodation facilities, more than 20,000 travel agents and several other companies in the supply chain throughout the country.
Thanks to the 3-year agreement (2022, 2023 and 2024 editions), Club del Sole will help set up, also with its own case histories, the Observatory’s annual research on the current state and future prospects of digital innovation in the tourism sector. The company will actively participate in the annual conference in which the results of the research will be presented. It will also participate in thematic interactive workshops organized by the Observatory, with particular reference to the meetings dedicated to the outdoor holiday sector
“We are pleased to announce the 3-year agreement with the Politecnico di Milano, one of the most prestigious Italian academic institutions which, through the Digital Innovation in Tourism Observatory, studies the evolution of the sector and guides companies in understanding the digital dynamics of travel and the new opportunities that derive from it”, comments Angelo Cartelli, General Manager of Club del Sole. “We believe in the importance of innovation and new technologies that have established themselves in the relationship with guests and in the services management. The data of the Observatory’s annual research have a strong strategic value for understanding the tourism market, analyzing demand and investigating emerging trends, including open-air, a topic on which a research verticality will be structured and to which we will contribute as a partner”.
