The Vacanze col Cuore glamping resort group is preparing for a 2022 marked by the consolidation and improvement of the “horizontal hotel” system. After the two new openings of Denekamp in Holland and Anfo on Lake Idro in 2021, and with the proposal of the “winter glamping” formula, much appreciated by customers and sold out during the Christmas holidays, Vacanze col Cuore has closed officially the season on January 9th.
The booking activity has never stopped and 2022 opens with a more than positive and optimistic climate thanks to the return to pre-Covid levels during the months of January and February. The Dutch and Germans are back: they have already secured their holidays in the Italian resorts of Lake Garda, Lake Idro and Tuscany. It is still early for the Italians, but the team is confident and knows they have conquered a new audience: about 30% of guests last year were nationals.

“For 2022 we plan to improve and renovate the Group’s resorts, to consolidate our position on the Italian and European market in terms of outdoor tourism,” says “The father of Glamping”, Loek Van de Loo. “No new acquisitions on the horizon, at least in the short term, but we are intervening on the expansion of accommodation offers, with the replacement of some mobile homes and lodge tents with latest generation models. We also officially launch, after the first test season, the ‘Glamping Collection’: a special holiday offer aboard means of transport and accommodation completely transformed into comfortable ‘horizontal hotel’ formulas. And we strengthen personnel management with a new human resources management, which is essential for optimal personnel management, which has significantly increased with the new openings. In fact, we have hired over 200 people – between seasonal and permanent – who deal with catering, entertainment, and maintenance: the latter is essential for the conservation and care of the hectares of flowering greenery and trees that surround guests throughout their stay“.

Management in Manerba del Garda
With a view to consolidation and growth, there is also the centralization of all the strategic sectors of the Group in the new headquarters in Manerba sul Garda: commercial team, on and offline marketing, human resources, administrative team, booking area for both Italy and Holland, where an operational office remains active for the needs of intervention on site.
In Loek Van de Loo’s vision, the glamping experience must leave you speechless (according to him, “wow” is the word that must come out of people’s mouths when they are in one of the Group’s resorts). To achieve this effect, every year, customers must be able to live a totally new experience. Thus in 2021 the idea of offering unusual accommodation was born: an American school bus, an Airstream and a vintage Shasta caravan entered the new Orlando in Chianti Glamping Resort area and thus a new range of proposals from the Group was born. by Glamping Collection.

The formula registered great success with the public and a great deal of word of mouth in the media. For 2022, therefore, new accommodations will enter Orlando in Chianti for the Glamping Collection, including a spectacular new American bus, a mini school bus and an additional Airstream completely refurbished and modernized by Officine Vivaldi. Glamping Collection also extends to Sivinos Glamping Boutique on Lake Garda, overlooking the Gulf of Salò, with an area dedicated to three vintage caravans.
The new season will begin on April 7 with the opening of Il Gabbiano Residence Park. A week later it will be the turn of Weekend Glamping Resort in San Felice del Benaco, Sivinos Glamping Boutique in Moniga del Garda, and Lago Idro Glamping Boutique in Anfo. Vallicella Glamping Resort in Scarlino will open on April 21st with a makeup of the existing structures, while on the 28th it will be the turn of Vacanze Glamping Boutique. The last facility to inaugurate the season, on May 12, will be Orlando in Chianti Glamping Resort in Cavriglia.
