TTG, SIA and SUN closed the 2022 edition with a figure in the sign of excellence: +25% of professional visitors compared to 2021. Professional operators have resumed creating value, in line with the new expectations of travelers, both in leisure and business segments. The success of the 2022 edition of the Italian Exhibition Group shows confirms that travel is an asset in which people invest, because it generates cultural enrichment, physical well-being, growth of people and it does so immediately and without constraints, “unbound” as remember the theme chosen for 2022.

A success also confirmed by the extraordinary media visibility of the event which, between radio, TV, online and offline media, exceeded 260 million gross contacts.

SIA Hospitality Design was characterized by the entry, for the first time, of the outdoor tourism supply chain, increasingly closer to the hôtellerie in terms of supply standards and housing modules. A trend, that of the convergence between hotel hospitality and the world of camping and glamping, which was further confirmed by the collaboration agreement signed by IEG and FAITA-FederCamping, and which found an exhaustive representation of the exhibition The Ne[s]t´, dedicated to the glamping segment.

SUN Beach&Outdoor Style, offered visitors a program full of news for businesses and bathing establishments: from design to set-up, from furnishings to technologies, from innovative solutions to the latest trends for the sector.

A leading platform

With 2,200 exhibiting brands, TTG, SIA and SUN confirm themselves as Italy’s leading communication platform for incoming and outgoing, with two positive elements. The first is that the decline in overnights in accommodation facilities stopped at -7% compared to 2019, thanks to the positive performance of the summer quarter (according to Federalberghi data). The second is the “skin change” that tourism has made in the post-pandemic, bringing new ways of enjoying a holiday to the attention of the travel and hospitality industry; above all, the phenomenon of “workation” that is the vacation based on the profile of the worker who moves his workplace to a different city. From “southworking“, which confirms the success of the regions of Southern Italy in the interest of foreign buyers, to the “daybreak” in European cities or to the discovery of new itineraries based on the experience of food and the encounter with new cultures, such as Jordan, country partner of TTG 2022.

The ability of IEG to aggregate the professional community has made available over 200 events with more than 250 speakers hosted in the 7 arenas: from the use of digital technologies and the metaverse to space travel, to Vision +23, the key event to get to know the new consumer market languages. Together with the most representative trade associations, from Federalberghi and all sectors represented by Confturismo, to ASTOI, FTO, up to FAITA-FederCamping, SIB, Fiavet, Assoviaggi and CNA, Assopiscine, the institutional partner ENIT, all the Regions, up to world of research with ISNART, Politecnico di Milano and CNR, market analysts IEG has built a calendar of high-profile scientific and professional meetings to understand and imagine new travel proposals on the retail circuit.

IEG makes an appointment for the entire Italian and international tourism industry, from October 11 to 13, 2023.
