Meetings continue at ministerial level between open-air tourism trade associations and the Italian Ministry of Tourism. Yesterday in Rome, Minister Daniela Santanchè met with representatives of the main associations, including Alberto Granzotto, president of FAITA-FederCamping, and Ester Bordino, president of Assocamp. This was a follow-up to the discussions of the last few months, which had begun in July last year.

Among the topics discussed at the table was the definition of operational guidelines to create a national network of equipped motorhome areas for travelling tourists. The idea is to focus on public-private partnership projects, taking into account the availability of €32.8 million already earmarked for the creation and upgrading of equipped areas.

The table,” reads the Ministry of Tourism’s Facebook profile, “constituted a further step forward in the strategy desired by the ministry to increase the competitiveness of the open-air segment“.
