Over the past few months, thousands of campers from across Europe cast their votes online to elect their favorite campsites. From Ireland to Greece, from Finland to Portugal, the votes collected by ACSI helped identify the top performers in open-air hospitality across nine different categories, recognizing the most family-friendly campsites, those offering the best cyclist services, the most scenic locations, the campsites with the best restaurants or facilities, and, ultimately, electing one overall winner per country. The prestigious awards were presented by ACSI director Ramon van Reine during the awards ceremony, which this year took place in Austria.
Among the big news of this edition is that for the first time Albania also wins an award: the ACSI Award for best campsite went to Camping Legjenda, a sign that outdoor holidays are gaining popularity even in this part of Europe. “We’re only organizing this election for the fourth time, and it’s fantastic to see so many passionate campers from all over Europe casting their votes,” said director van Reine. “Thanks to them, we can now highlight many enthusiastic campsite owners in as many as 24 countries with an ACSI Award”.
Italian category winners
As mentioned, the winner of the award for Best Campsite in Italy was Camping Ca’ Pasquali Village, located on the Venetian peninsula of Cavallino-Treporti, which stood out for its quality of service, guest hospitality, and environmental care. Other Italian campsites also received the prestigious ACSI awards in the various categories. Camping Rosselba Le Palme, on the island of Elba, was recognized for its cyclist-friendly amenities, while Marina di Venezia Camping Village won for best restaurant. Camping Village Isolino was awarded for having the most beautiful swimming pool, and Baia Holiday Isuledda, in Sardinia, received recognition for its stunning location.
The prize for the most beautiful motorhome pitches went to Camping Bella Italia, while Camping Piani di Clodia, on Lake Garda, stood out for having the best sanitary facilities. For travelers seeking small-scale but high-quality camping, Alpinfitness Waldcamping Völlan, in South Tyrol, was awarded Best Small Campsite. In a world where even four-legged friends matter, La Rocca Camping Village earned the title of most dog-friendly campsite. Lastly, for families with children, the best campsite according to camper votes was Pappasole Camping Village, in Tuscany.
