Marriott International is expanding its offering with the launch of Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors, a new digital platform that allows travelers to discover and book stays centered on outdoor living, while also introducing the new brand, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy. The project was created to meet the growing demand for experiences that bring people closer to nature without giving up the services and comforts of high-quality hospitality.
Marriott’s new concept aims to offer solutions that combine the adventurous spirit of an outdoor stay with the safety and comfort travelers expect. For this reason, the Outdoor Collection features carefully selected properties in destinations of natural beauty, from cabins near national parks to boutique hotels set in spectacular locations such as cliffs and protected areas. In every case, the experience is delivered with the highest standards of hospitality: comfortable beds, hot running water, functional spaces, and a constant focus on design.
Two flagship hospitality concepts
The new collection launches with two key brands: Postcard Cabins and Trailborn Hotels. Postcard Cabins, with more than 1,200 properties across 29 U.S. locations, offer the atmosphere of a retreat in nature enhanced by a modern style inspired by Scandinavian design. Each cabin comes with private outdoor fire pits and immediate access to trails, lakes, and natural surroundings.
Trailborn Hotels, on the other hand, bring the outdoor experience into the boutique hotel segment. Located in iconic destinations such as the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Grand Canyon, and the coast of North Carolina, these hotels combine stylish design with curated dining, cultural programming, and guided excursions.
“We created Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors to help people enjoy unforgettable experiences,” said Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at Marriott International, announcing the new project. The Outdoor Collection thus positions itself as a model of hospitality designed to meet the new demands of contemporary tourism: sustainable, experiential, and high-quality.
