While the official figures for the 2025 season have yet to be published, the latest insights from the Septeo Barometer offer an early picture of how the French camping market has performed. The August report shows a 12% increase in total revenue, a strong result that confirms the resilience of demand and the sector’s ability to attract a customer base increasingly focused on quality.

According to the analysis, the growth in turnover is not primarily linked to higher booking volumes but to a rise in the average basket value. Two factors have played a decisive role: the choice of higher-end accommodation and the widespread use of dynamic pricing strategies during the peak season. This combination has allowed operators to enhance the value of their offer, despite weather conditions and macro-economic factors that were not always favourable.

In terms of customer origin, the domestic market remains dominant, accounting for 68% of online bookings, a level consistent with July (67%). German holidaymakers have strengthened their presence, reaching 11% of bookings (up from 8% in the previous month), while the Netherlands show a slight decline, from 8% to 6%. Spain is also gaining ground, rising from 3% to 4%, the same share now held by the United Kingdom.

Overall, the Barometer from Septeo | Hospitality indicates that the 2025 camping season in France ended on a positive note, confirming both the strength of the domestic market and a gradual return of international visitors. The growing focus on quality experiences and refined pricing strategies appears to be the key to sustaining competitiveness in the coming seasons.
