Camping.info, Europe’s leading camping platform with over 135 million annual page views, has recognized the 110 highest-rated campsites among more than 23,000 properties across Europe by awarding the camping.info Award 2026. This prestigious public award, now in its 15th edition, is based entirely on camper reviews and does not rely on any jury, making it one of the most coveted and transparent awards in the camping sector.
The camping.info Award aims to provide campers with a reliable guide, offering inspiration, ideas, and support for planning their next outdoor vacation, as highlighted by Maximilian Möhrle, CEO of camping.info.
Authentic and independent reviews
This year, over 62,000 campers submitted more than 120,000 reviews, which formed the basis of the final ranking of the Top 110 European Campsites 2026. The ranking reflects real guest experiences, particularly based on overall satisfaction and the number of reviews. This methodology ensures equal opportunities for both small and large campsites. Austria, Germany, and Italy on the podium
At the top of the camping.info Award 2026 ranking are three European campsites recognized for their quality, services, and unique guest experiences.
Camping Sonnenland Lutzmannsburg (Burgenland, Austria) was named Europe’s Best Campsite 2026, praised for its family-friendly concept, pet-friendly facilities, wide range of leisure activities, and consistently high ratings across all categories.
In second place is Campingpark Kühlungsborn (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany), valued for its prime Baltic Sea location, modern infrastructure, and high cleanliness standards.
Third place goes to an Italian campsite, Luxury Camping Schlosshof (South Tyrol, Italy), distinguished by its scenic setting, wellness facilities, and high-quality gastronomy.
Additionally, two campsites were specially recognized for having appeared in all 15 editions of the award: the aforementioned Campingpark Kühlungsborn and Camping Village Marina di Venezia.
