The Spanish Federation of Campsites (FEEC) has announced the 2026 edition of the Spanish Campsite Congress, which will take place from 13 to 15 October in Baiona, Galicia. The event will bring together business owners, managers and companies linked to the outdoor tourism sector to analyse market developments and the main challenges facing the industry.
The event is now firmly established as one of the leading forums for the camping industry in Spain, with a programme focused on innovation, digitalisation, business management and adapting to new customer demands.
A space for sharing knowledge
The President of the Spanish Federation of Campsites, Ana Beriain, highlighted the strategic value of the event as an annual meeting point for the sector. “The congress is an opportunity to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of the future. Camping has become a dynamic and sustainable tourism option, and these forums are key to continuing to drive its development.”
Meanwhile, Sergio Chocarro, the federation’s manager, underlined the importance of strengthening collaboration between professionals. “It is a key space for sharing knowledge and addressing strategic challenges, from management to adapting to new customer demands.”
Galicia, a strategic hub for outdoor tourism
The choice of Galicia as host reflects the region’s growing importance within camping tourism, thanks to its combination of coastline, nature and a wide variety of destinations. The President of the Galician Campsite Association, Manuel Ochoa, welcomed the decision.
“The fact that the National Campsite Congress is being held in Galicia strengthens our position as a sustainable tourist destination closely linked to the natural environment. It is a source of pride to welcome nearly 300 colleagues.”
Complementary activities
In addition to the professional sessions, the organisers are planning parallel activities aimed at networking and showcasing the host region. These include a boat trip with a guided visit to the Cíes Islands, one of the region’s main natural landmarks.
With this new edition, the Spanish Campsite Congress will once again bring the sector’s immediate challenges and growth opportunities to the forefront, highlighting the increasing demand for this tourism model.
