In Croatia, the spotlight on tourism is returning. The Place2Go event returns from April 8 to 10 at the Zagreb Arena. After two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, this is the ninth time that tour operators and travelers will once again be able to confront each other to offer and discover new offers and destinations. Professionals find their election day on Friday, not for nothing named B2B Friday, in which the Smart Tourism Meet Up is organized, from 12pm to 3.30pm. This part of the event will be broadcast live through the Smart Tourism platform, so you can follow it even if you are not physically present at the fair.
On the weekend, on the other hand, there is a large presence of bloggers, travel writers and adventure enthusiasts who will share their experiences, among them are Putoholičari, Vanna Bojović, Domagoj Sever, Dejan Nemčić, Ribafish, Slaven Škrobot and many others.
This year, Place2Go will host exhibitors from Montenegro and the Netherlands for the first time. There will be, as a tradition, many Slovenian companies with a rich offer of spas, the well-known Italian Gardaland, as well as the neighbors of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. In addition, the joint presence of almost all Croatian national and natural parks is foreseen and, for the first time, the presentation of the Croatian cultural itineraries of the Council of Europe. The partner country of this year’s fair is India.
“This year’s fair is specific in many ways,” said Damjana Domanovac, creator and director of Place2Go. “We are extremely motivated after two years of ‘winter sleep’ to organize such a tourist meeting: for us it was a great challenge to prepare and organize it in no time, dare I say in record time. It showed us how creative we need to be to reach the standards we have set for ourselves over the years. But our audience knows how to reward effort and courage, so we expect to be rewarded by many visits. We are particularly proud, together with our partners, to be able to guarantee free admission to all visitors.”
