The 2024 edition of the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf, the world’s leading trade fair dedicated to camping and outdoor vacations, is taking shape. From August 31 to September 8, the German city becomes the center of the Outdoor universe, a universe where you can compare and purchase motorhomes and caravans, discover all the latest technology, accessories, and equipment, and learn about the best tourist destinations and offers for outdoor vacations. The ticket office has already been open for a few days, and the rich program of events is continuously being updated.
One of the novelties of the 2024 edition is the Travel & Nature pavilion (Hall 7), entirely dedicated to tourism, with numerous destination proposals for caravanning, hiking, trekking, and cycling. Here you will find booths of tourist locations and tour operators, as well as major camping guides, online portals, and international camping associations. To further enrich the exhibition, there will be events from the “Travel & Nature Connected” program, animated by expert speakers, taking place on the stage in Hall 7.
“The dedicated Travel & Nature pavilion,” commented Stefan Koschke, director of the Salon, “meets the wishes of many visitors and exhibitors. Hall 7 is the travel market of the fair and the highlight for all outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can directly book their active holiday here or get information on new travel destinations near and far.” It is, therefore, an important showcase for tourist destinations that want to present themselves to the public and attract new visitors. As Patricia Barth, head of Travel & Nature, pointed out, the Salon is the perfect stage to showcase the charm of one’s territory and tourist offerings through direct contact with nature-loving vacation enthusiasts.
Also on the stage in Hall 7, on Friday, September 6, there will be screenings of footage from the European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT), one of the highlights of the Salon. Among the most suggestive films that can be seen (the film screenings are included in the entrance ticket) are: a biking adventure from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, a paragliding experience in Karakoram, mountain biking with the whole family, and breathtaking snowboarding descents in the Lyngen Alps in Norway.
