At the end of the first day of the Sett di Montepellier, the coveted Sett d’Or prizes (the innovation awards) were awarded. Over 50 candidates were in the running for the event organized by the Fédération de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air du Languedoc-Roussillon, in collaboration with the regional federations Midi-Pyrénées, Rhône-Alpes, Auvergne, Corse, Limousin, PACA, and Bourgogne Franche Comté. The Sett d’Or awards are managed in partnership with the specialized newspaper Décision.
The awards went to:
TUBBO
Tubbo is a luxurious and unusual lodge, completely transparent and weatherproof. Inspired by the structure of water bottles, Tubbo achieves maximum strength with minimum material. Made with aerospace airplane window technology, it is virtually indestructible. Withstands hurricanes over 200 km/h, any snow load (evenly distributed), and any size hailstone.
AQUATECH INNOVATION
The challenge for AquaCollect is to collect wastewater wherever it is, regardless of technical and geological constraints. The AquaCollect therefore allows you to collect black and gray water where it is not possible to apply gravity nets. The company’s solutions apply to one or more collection points and can be disassembled to meet regulatory requirements.
PHYTOTINY
This is the first “green” and ecological sanitation system for innovative accommodation facilities. Mobile homes, cabins, yurts, caravans… Aquatiris has developed an interesting concept adapting it to outdoor and mobile tourism for wastewater treatment.
ESCAPE GAMES: THE APERO
The aperitif is enclosed in a huge 80-liter cooler. First, you have to open it, but once the first mission is successful, you realize you are stuck inside… The sausage is in a box, the bowls in another, the bottles are in the “puzzles”… To free the aperitif, it will be necessary to unlock everything as the game progresses, solving various puzzles.
BEERUP SYSTEM “STANDUP”
BeerUp is a patented filling system from under the glass: thanks to its circular jet it reproduces the traditional tapping. This system uses a food-grade silicone valve, limiting the waste of traditional tapping.
