Strengthening its European footprint once again, the PHA Group (Capfun, Clico Chic) has announced the acquisition of its 21st campsite in the Netherlands: Camping De Wâldsang, located in Bakkeveen, in the province of Friesland, northern Netherlands, less than half an hour from Leeuwarden.
Covering 13 hectares and offering 341 pitches, the site is set within the De Slotplaats nature reserve – a vast woodland area well known for its walking trails and extensive cycling network. The region is firmly focused on outdoor leisure and is particularly popular with Dutch holidaymakers.
Traditionally aimed at families and nature lovers, De Wâldsang features a strong range of facilities, including a large café-restaurant, a snack bar, and both indoor and outdoor children’s play areas.
With this latest acquisition – bringing its Dutch portfolio to 21 campsites and a total of 10,600 pitches in the country – Capfun now operates 254 properties across Europe.
