The annual meeting organized by the G20 Beaches, hosted by the city of Riccione for the 2022 edition, ended on 6 April. Mayors and categories discussed the major issues related to the seaside: infrastructure, transport and urban development to state-owned concessions. Finally, a final conference on ecological transition, innovation, safety and economy, which saw the connection of the Minister for Tourism Massimo Garavaglia.
Among the participants of the Cavallino-Treporti delegation, coordinated by Roberta Nesto, we highlight the speech by the president of Assocamping, Francesco Bertoni: «The expectations and prospects are there, and we are ready. Already from this Saturday some accommodation facilities will begin to open, some others after Easter and by mid-May all will be started. The signs are very good, starting with the upcoming holidays. The real start of the season will be seen in May, when it will get off to a great start with Ascension and Pentecost, which has always seen the mass presence of our regular German and Austrian guests “.
Tourism councilor Alberto Ballarin commented: “The ecological transition is one of the segments of sustainability. Being sustainable becomes fundamental and is one of the elements on which the future of a locality and a community is planned. We must therefore think of our territories with an eye to the future, investing in this sense also with the help of technology which also allows us to be at the forefront. In terms of traffic and mobility, we continue to work on infrastructures to allow guests to reach Cavallino-Treporti with their own vehicles, caravans and trailers, and to move around the town with slow mobility, thus allowing tourists to enjoy our places and spaces in the open air. This is our strength for the new tourism ».
Cavallino-Treporti is a consolidated tourism, with a 2022 season just around the corner which, from the start, is more than positive, with the hope that the season will return to registering the pre-2019 attendance numbers. Promotion and major events will help to raise awareness the location and the initiatives organized by the Municipality, the Consorzio di Promozione and Assocamping to entertain guests. Great attractions such as the Beach on Fire, a Guinness World Record event for the 13 km of fireworks fired in synchrony along the beach, will return at the end of August to illuminate the entire coast.
“We are positive despite the current world situation. We are convinced that there is a desire to take a holiday, to escape from what has happened and is happening – concludes Paolo Bertolini, president of Consorzio di Promozione Parco Turistico – The reservations are absolutely good and we are happy because our loyal guests do not see the time to go back on holiday to Cavallino-Treporti ».
