The tourism sector demands professionalism, passion, and specific skills across all fields, from reception to entertainment, from maintenance to catering. In this context, the project Career Development in Camping 2, promoted by the Croatian Camping Association (KUH) in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, aims to enhance the value of open-air tourism work and to encourage youth employment.

Following the successful events in the Istria and Kvarner regions, the project now moves to the heart of continental Croatia: on May 7 and 8, 2025, Open Days will be held at Camping Vita, located in Terme Tuhelj.

The initiative of the Croatian Camping Association, aimed at young people, job seekers, and professionals, offers the opportunity to get a closer look at how a modern campsite operates across its various departments: from reception management to food services, from entertainment for both children and adults to technical maintenance tasks. Sector professionals will share their experiences, explaining how each role contributes to the smooth functioning of the site and what skills are necessary to build a successful career in open-air tourism.

As mentioned, the Open Days organised at Camping Vita are designed not only for students and young people seeking their first work experience but also for unemployed individuals and professionals already in the workforce who are considering a career change or wish to expand their skill set. It’s a valuable opportunity to explore new career paths and employment opportunities in the outdoor holiday sector.
