In the Netherlands, two of the leading publishers in the outdoor tourism sector have merged. The operation saw Campingnavigator integrate Travelmark’s activities, thus creating an even stronger group specialized in the production of content to promote accommodation facilities.
The two organizations have been consolidated within Campingnavigator BV, with Travelmark becoming the new brand under which all websites and businesses will be grouped. By joining forces, a strong partner has been created for all campsites, glamping sites, villages, regions, and tour groups. The complete portfolio of websites includes over 15 portals, of which the Top-3 are campingnavigator.com, glamping.nl and kids-campings.com.

Since 2013 Travelmark has focused on offering Dutch content via Glamping.nl and other brands, such as Kids-campings.com, Charmequality.nl, Gardameer.nl and several regional portals such as Adriatico.nl, Toscana.nl, and Costa Azzurra.nl. Since 2017 Travelmark, then Blogs4Travel, has also started working directly for tourist villages. In 2022 Travelmark became the unifying element of all brands.
Campingnavigator has existed since 1983 and has become one of the most important camping information portals, thanks in part to a rich team of enthusiastic consultants who visit many campsites throughout Europe every year. In addition to the website, with over 7,900 campsites, information is distributed via email marketing, online camping guides, Ontdek (Discover) Magazine, and social media. All information is offered to campers completely free of charge, including the Best Deal camping card, to which many campsites adhere with rates or offers (determined by themselves).
Richard Otten has been the driving force behind Travelmark since 2013. Peter Doornekamp has worked for Campingnavigator since 2007 and took over the company in 2019. As an equal partner of Campingnavigator BV, they are co-responsible for the new brand.

“I see great opportunities to grow and innovate both companies in the field of content marketing,” said Richard Otten, founder of Travelmark. “For us, the merger with Campingnavigator is the optimal opportunity to expand Travelmark’s position on the European camping marketI see great opportunities for both companies to grow and innovate in the field of content marketing.”
“It was a very conscious decision to fully combine all activities in one company,” added Peter Doornekamp. “I am very proud and satisfied with the new team and the form we have chosen. Richard and his people have made their mark in content creation. Together we use our creativity to expand and take our domains to the next level. We will ensure that our offer continues to grow and that we can inspire more and more camping and, of course, glamping enthusiasts.”
As a publisher, Travelmark offers editorial visibility, content creation and advice to all providers of camping, glamping, holiday parks and other marketers and tourism promoters in the world of European camping. Always as a camping expert of Dutch culture.
