For the fifth time, the FNHPA is organising its Sustainable Development Awards. Applications are open to all campsites that are members of the FNHPA, whether classified or not, and whether or not they hold an environmental certification. The jury will reward initiatives linked to one of the three components of sustainable development: social, economic and environmental. One award will be presented for each theme, while a “Grand Prize” will reward the initiative that combines all three. Finally, a fifth “Judges’ Favourite” award may be presented by the jury.
Initiatives may cover a wide range of areas, including food, short supply chains, local roots, sustainable food, the circular economy, waste management and prevention, the preservation of biodiversity and natural resources, landscape and urban planning, mobility, housing and buildings, energy management, production and efficiency, innovative financing, skills, knowledge and expertise, adaptation to climate change and resilience, tourism for all, responsible management of tourist flows, local tourism, responsible organisation, long-term employment, long-term partnerships (with suppliers), well-being at work, and more.
The initiative must have a real impact on the environment (in the broadest sense) of the campsite and its surrounding area, and must have been launched in 2025, or even already completed.
To take part, simply download the application form, which contains only around ten questions, from www.fnhpa-pro.fr (under the Camping Durable section), complete it and return it to contact@fnhpa-pro.fr by 31 August 2026.
The awards ceremony will take place during the FNHPA National Congress, which will be held in early November 2026 as part of the SETT trade show in Montpellier.
