Christian Günther will join Haveltourist, German company operating in the camping and water sports sectors in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, as an additional managing director on April 1, 2024. At 40 years old, with a degree in transport economics and specialization in tourism management, Christian Günther served as CEO of the Federal Association of the German Camping Industry (BVCD) for over 7 years, gaining significant experience in the sector, which he will now bring to Haveltourist.
Gunter Riechey, managing partner, welcomed the new executive with these words: “We have come to know and appreciate each other through our many years of collaboration at the association level. We are pleased that we were able to convince Christian Günther to join our company. Together, we want to further develop Haveltourist’s strong position in the German camping market and implement many new ideas“.
Completing the management team of Haveltourist are André and Volker Riechey. Furthermore, with Florian Riechey(brother of André) joining as a shareholder and Marianne Jock‘s departure, the company is now a purely family-run business. Haveltourist manages 8 campsites, including the Campingresort Havelberge, the largest and award-winning for its excellent services: high-quality sanitary facilities, sauna and wellness directly on the lake, a restaurant with a lake-view terrace, a rope course in the forest, canoe center, and marina.
All campsites are located in the Mecklenburg Lake District, in the Müritz National Park area, a true paradise for nature-loving campers, offering a high-level outdoor vacation experience with numerous leisure activities. Guests can stay with their own caravan or motorhome, or in vacation homes, mobile homes, and rental caravans.
