From 1 to 4 February 2027, Riva del Garda will host the 51st edition of Hospitality – Il Salone dell’Accoglienza, the event organised by Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, which will once again hold the status of International Exhibition. A key event for the HoReCa sector, it will bring together the entire supply chain in a large exhibition area dedicated to products, services, technologies and innovative solutions for the hospitality industry.

Alongside the exhibition, as always, the programme will include conferences, training sessions and networking opportunities to explore the main trends shaping the sector.

One of the central themes of Hospitality 2027 will be the growing importance of wellness in the guest experience. According to the Global Wellness Institute, the wellness economy exceeded €6.8 trillion in 2024 and could reach $9.8 trillion by 2029. Within this market, wellness tourism is one of the most dynamic segments, with global spending amounting to $894 billion in 2024.

For this reason, the design of spaces, personal wellbeing and the customisation of services are becoming increasingly key elements for any hospitality facility wishing to fully embrace this trend.

Open-air tourism continues to grow

Another major focus of Hospitality 2027 will be open-air tourism, a sector that continues to deliver positive results. According to FAITA Federcamping, following the record year of 2025 – with more than 11.2 million arrivals, almost 74 million overnight stays and turnover exceeding €8 billion – 2026 is also expected to be a positive year, driven above all by the lake destinations of Northern Italy.

The growth of glamping is also continuing: according to the report Glamping Market Size & Trends 2025, the global glamping market reached an estimated value of $3.79 billion in 2025 and could exceed $7.8 billion by 2033, with an average annual growth rate close to 9.5%.

In this context, the partnership between Hospitality and FAITA Federcamping is renewed through Outdoor Boom, the exhibition area dedicated to open-air hospitality.

The Best Camping Village Awards return

Outdoor tourism will also take centre stage thanks to the Best Camping Village Awards, the award created by Teamwork and Hospitality to recognise campsites, holiday villages and glamping facilities that stand out for their quality and ability to innovate.

Following the success of the first edition, the award is expanding and will now feature ten competition categories. Alongside the existing categories dedicated to Welcome and Service, Glamping Experience, Relax & Wellness Experience, Entertainment Programme, Accessible Hospitality, Sports & Outdoor Offer, Sustainability Programme and Services, Common Areas and Spaces, two new categories have been added: Territorial Identity, dedicated to facilities that enhance local heritage through authentic experiences, and Pet-Friendly Hospitality, recognising businesses that have developed services and solutions for guests travelling with their pets.

Italian and international campsites, holiday villages and glamping facilities based in Italy can submit their applications until 30 October 2026. Regulations and information are available on the website www.bestcampingvillageawards.it.

The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday 3 February 2027 in the Garda Hall of the Riva del Garda Congress Centre, as part of the Hospitality programme.
