In the Norcenni Girasole Village, a camping site located near Florence immersed in the green Tuscan hills, a very special project dedicated to the over 65s will start from April: a stay experience to promote health, well-being and longevity. In fact, in the campsite, owned by Human Company, from 21 April to 5 May 2021 will take place “The path of happy longevity“, an original two-week experiential path conceived by La Grande Via, the association founded by epidemiologist Franco Berrino and by the journalist Enrica Bortolazzi. Through food, meditation and regular physical activity, carried out according to the ANTS protocol (acronym for Activity, Nature, Training, Sense), one experiences physical, mental and spiritual regeneration.
Under the guidance and supervision of doctors and professional experts, the project aims to educate to a correct lifestyle, which helps to return or to keep active in body and mind. Guests will be provided with specific tools and skills on natural remedies, eating habits, exercises on movement and meditation, useful for combating chronic diseases related to age and the rapid aging of the organism.
The program of La via della longevità felice was born by combining the skills of the doctor and epidemiologist Franco Berrino, former director of the Department of Preventive and Predictive Medicine of the National Cancer Institute of Milan and Daniele Tognaccini, athletic trainer, creator of Milan Lab, the high tech interdisciplinary center of AC Milan and founder of ANTS.
Franco Berrino has identified the combination of the Three Ways of Wellbeing – food, physical activity and spirituality – as the basis of the formula for happy longevity. The fulcrum of the physical activity protocol is the ANTS method, studied by Daniele Tognaccini in collaboration with Human Company, whose principles revolve around the concept of neuroplasticity, i.e. the ability of our brain to change over time in response to experience.
From functional circuit to jungle training, from stretching to nature trail to e-bike tours, participants will develop their reactive and perceptive skills followed by specialized trainers. A targeted training activity program will be set up for each of them based on the results of the sensory plasticity, balance and reaction tests provided by the ANTS Lab.
