Two years after taking over the Slow Village campsite group, Inspire has announced a 100 million fundraising round supported by Swiss Life Asset Managers France to develop the group’s growth, whose campsites are marketed under the Slow Village brand.

This fundraising aims to support the groups growth, consolidate its model and strengthen its presence in a dynamic market on a long-term basis,” says Baptiste Bonnichon, co-founder and co-CEO of the group with David Brunello. For us, it is a major milestone that strengthens our business model and what we have built in a short time with the whole team. We are going to accelerate our action within the slow tourism movement and our slow impact’ approach, which covers our entire strategy”.

Already, with this fundraising, an initial tranche of investment has recently been completed, enabling the acquisition of three new establishments. The first step is Camping de L’Océan (3-star, 95 pitches), located in the commune of Le Palais on Belle-Île-en-Mer (Morbihan), which will be rebranded as Slow Village Belle-Île-en-Mer from the 2026 season.

The two other acquisitions are: Camping du Bois Henri IV (2-star, 117 pitches) in La Couarde-sur-Mer (Charente-Maritime), which will become Slow Village La Couarde in 2027 with 90 pitches, and Camping du Mas de Saboth (4-star, 93 pitches) in Saint-Géry-Vers (Lot). These establishments are located in two departments where the group was not yet present.

Doubling the number of campsites by 2030

Slow Village, which generates 25 million in revenue, now has 14 owned sites across nine departments, for a total of 2,050 pitches. Our objective is to double our offer within five years and thus reach 30 establishments by 2030,” says Baptiste Bonnichon. We are looking for sites of 100 to 300 pitches located throughout France, close to attractive points of interest, ideally accessible by bicycle or even on foot”.

Meanwhile, the group continues to develop (with €12 million of investment for 2026, excluding campsite acquisitions) and to establish its concept as an alternative to club-style campsites. We are promoting outdoor hospitality based on three markers: premium, eco-responsible and lifestyle. A differentiated offer aimed at a clientele more used to going on holiday abroad and who wish to travel less far for environmental and/or economic reasons. But also Airbnb or hotel users who want more services on site”, recalls Baptiste Bonnichon.
