The camping group Aquadis Loisirs, with 18 facilities and a revenue of €7.5 million in 2024, is changing its name and strategy for 2025 to become Terracamps. The new brand introduces a refreshed identity highlighting values of simplicity, authenticity, and discovery.

Founded in 1996, the group led by Frédéric Martin retains its eco-friendly positioning and the slogan “Nature Campsites” while enhancing its image with a mascot and a distinctive jingle. As explained by the group’s General Manager, Morgane Lesueur, the new name Terracamps was chosen to emphasize its connection to nature and the authenticity of outdoor holidays. It’s also designed to be easily memorable for a broad audience, including international customers.

A franchise for independent campsites

The major innovation is the launch of a franchise network open to independent campsites. By joining, these campsites can benefit from the group’s extensive experience and expertise. The project, developed in collaboration with the consultancy Headlight, aims to build a network where campsites maintain their unique identity while enjoying the advantages of a well-established brand.

The benefits offered to franchisees include comprehensive management support, covering communication, marketing, and more; continuous guidance in leveraging the Terracamps brand and advanced tools to boost occupancy rates and revenue; training programs for staff and opportunities for networking and knowledge sharingthrough seminars and webinars; access to negotiated supplier agreements with favorable pricing; greater visibilitythanks to national and international promotional campaigns.

Requirements to join Terracamps

Terracamps seeks candidates that align with its values and standards. Specifically, it is looking for 3-star campsites with 150-200 pitches, at least 60% of which are unserviced, located near bodies of water, and with a minimum annual revenue of €200,000. Franchisees must also commit to achieving the Clef Verte or Destination dExcellence environmental certification within two years.

Membership involves a four-year commitment, with an initial entry fee of 6,500. An annual commission on accommodation revenue (pitches and rentals) starts at 4% in the first year, increasing to 4.5% in the second year and 5% in the third year, with a minimum fee of €8,000 and a maximum of €35,000. The group aims to recruit 5-10 franchisees in 2025.
