Open-air tourism in Piedmont, Italy, is moving forward with renewed energy. The members’ assembly of FAITA-FederCamping Piemonte, the leading association for the camping sector in the region, has approved a new statute and renewed its governing bodies for the 2025 – 2029 term. Tranquillo Manoni was unanimously reconfirmed as President by the newly elected Board of Directors. Alongside him are Fabrizio Fenocchio and Maurizio Baldini as Vice Presidents, with Baldini also serving as Secretary.
This new leadership takes office at a pivotal time for the open-air tourism sector, which accounts for over 16% of regional tourist flows in Piedmont, offering thousands of beds across campsites, holiday villages, and equipped areas.
Among the most pressing issues raised by industry professionals are the revaluation of land cadastral values used for campsites, which often places an unfair burden on open-air hospitality businesses, and the compliance with environmental and landscape regulations, which require clearer and more timely processes.
Against this backdrop, FAITA-FederCamping Piemonte‘s members have tasked the new Board with strengthening institutional dialogue with the Piedmont Region, aiming to promote investment support measures, facility upgrades, and digital innovation in the sector. The renewal of FAITA Piemonte is a step toward reinforcing the role of open-air tourism as a key element in the diversification of Piedmont’s tourism offering.
