The 2027 edition of OUTEX Outdoor Experience, the event promoted by Editrice Il Campo in collaboration with BolognaFiere and dedicated to the world of professional outdoor living, will take place from 10 to 12 February. Following the success of last year’s pilot edition, the event brings together the entire outdoor supply chain around the themes of design, urban regeneration and the enhancement of outdoor spaces.

The event is aimed at professionals who want to keep up with new trends and anticipate emerging needs: designers, architects and urban planners, as well as hospitality operators ranging from campsites and agritourism businesses to hotels and holiday villages, will have three days at their disposal to discover the latest developments in the sector and discuss the evolution of outdoor living. Innovation, design, comfort, functionality and sustainability will be the guiding principles around which the three days of the exhibition will develop.

Design, wellbeing and innovation for outdoor spaces

The exhibition offering of OUTEX – Outdoor Experience will range from furniture and lighting to outdoor kitchens, as well as solutions for greenery and the creation of shaded areas, with the aim of designing spaces that are functional, sustainable and increasingly refined from an aesthetic point of view. Particular attention will also be devoted to the needs of accommodation facilities, such as campsites and agritourism businesses, without overlooking playgrounds, fitness trails, urban furniture, city parks, waterfronts and architectural promenades.

The return of the experiential areas, redesigned and updated for the 2027 edition, has already been confirmed, starting with Outdoor Leisure, the area dedicated to the design of outdoor fitness and recreational spaces. A new installation dedicated to the dialogue between “Water and Fire” will also make its debut, with these two complementary elements becoming a means of narrating the relationship between landscape and contemporary design, in a balance where naturalness and wellbeing take on a central role.

The programme will also include conferences and in-depth sessions organised in collaboration with associations and trade bodies, as well as live shows designed to showcase products, materials and innovative applications.

Dialogue with the leisure world

XLeisure will also take place at the same time, the B2B event bringing together the 28th edition of ForumClub and the 18th edition of ForumPiscine, both long-standing points of reference for the fitness, swimming pool, spa, wellness and sports facilities sectors.

The simultaneous running of the events creates an ideal bridge between leisure linked to water and movement and the broader outdoor experience, giving rise to an integrated ecosystem in which different but complementary supply chains can meet and generate new opportunities for collaboration. The event thus becomes a true laboratory in which to imagine the future of hospitality and urban design.

Another important new feature for the 2027 edition is its simultaneous staging with the first edition of Be Fire International Biomass Heating & Fire Fair, the new event dedicated to biomass heating technologies and the promotion of the forest-wood-energy supply chain.

The offering will therefore also be enriched with solutions dedicated to fire and outdoor cooking, including ovens, wood- and pellet-fired outdoor kitchens, fire pits and barbecues, reflecting a sector that is increasingly oriented towards outdoor experiences capable of combining design, conviviality and sustainability.
