Market leader in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, Camping Vision is a strategic business partner in Europe. Currently the company has partnerships with about 700 of the best campsites in Europe and with 50 specialized camping tour operators. These days, CEO Ralf de Bruijn said that the 2022 season is not yet over for Camping Vision. Many European customers, in fact, continue to book their vacations with the international brands Allcamps and Lux-Camp and the Danish brands Danskbilferie and Friferie. With more than 24 percent more than the initial target for 2022, we can already undoubtedly speak of a very successful year for Camping Vision and its European partners.
The big increase can be attributed to the incisive marketing campaigns designed by Camping Vision for the off-season, where there was a 110% increase in bookings. As for the ranking of the most popular destinations, it remained unchanged from 2021. Italy is always in first place (with +51% of requests), followed by France (+47%), Croatia (+62%) and Spain (+78%).
The largest increase for Camping Vision was for the pure pitch product, with an increase of over 200%. The hope is that this positive trend can continue, despite the major issues exposed by camping partnersrelated to the general increase in the cost of living, staff shortages, but more importantly the energy crisis and its impact on the upcoming season. Camping Vision, given the sensitive historical moment, has decided to be present at the industry trade shows SETT in Montpellier and SIA Hospitality Design in Rimini, to stay in touch with the industry, partners, and implement, through strong direct communication, a marketing plan for a successful 2023.
