In November 2023, the three major mobility clubs of Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland – ADAC, ANWB, and TCS respectively – signed an agreement to join forces and strengthen their presence in the camping sector. Since January 2024, the three clubs have been shareholders of the new entity PiNCAMP GmbH (formerly ADAC Camping GmbH) and, with an investment of €6.6 million, aim to improve the internationalization of PiNCAMP and become the leading camping booking platform in Europe. Now, a first milestone has been achieved: the relaunch of the Dutch booking platform anwbcamping.nl.
The technology of the existing portal has been replaced by PiNCAMP’s portal technology, while keeping the domain anwbcamping.nl unchanged. “On pincamp.de, pincamp.ch, and anwbcamping.nl, we now offer even more information, inspiration, and a wider range of bookable campsites thanks to the common platform,” says Uwe Frers, CEO of PiNCAMP.
Currently, there are over 3,600 campsites that can be booked online on the platforms managed by PiNCAMP. In addition, users have access to information on over 14,000 campsites and more than 200,000 camper reviews, a valuable resource for those looking for the right campsite for their needs.
Uwe Frers also anticipates PiNCAMP’s next goals: “We want to continue to grow together with our partners in the camping industry and we are planning to launch another PiNCAMP camping portal in Europe this year.”
