2026 opens under the sign of growth for the Sandaya Group, which has announced the acquisition of Les Grenettes, a property that combines a campsite and a hotel in one of the most iconic locations on the Île de Ré. The French group, a European benchmark in high-end open-air hospitality, is thus taking a further step in its path of expansion and diversification of its offer across different segments of tourism.

The operation is part of a broader strategy that also aims to strengthen Sandayas presence in business tourism, a sector the Group entered in 2025 with the acquisition of a majority stake in Business Village (Louan, Seine-et-Marne), a complex of 400 cottages dedicated to corporate events. Les Grenettes also moves in this direction, standing out for a hybrid concept capable of integrating leisure holidays, events and business tourism.

Moreover, Sandaya further strengthens its presence on the Île de Ré, where it now has three sites of excellence. These include the 5-star Camping Interlude, acquired in October 2025 and added to the portfolio for the 2026 season with its 309 pitches. The island thus confirms itself as one of the Group’s flagship destinations.

Over €2.2 million in investment by 2027

Located in Sainte-Marie-de-Ré, just 250 metres from the beach and set within a 7-hectare park in the heart of a pine forest, Les Grenettes offers a 5-star campsite with 210 pitches – among the most highly regarded on the island – and a 4-star hotel with 49 rooms, ideal for hosting seminars and corporate events. Completing the offer are premium services and facilities: two heated outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub, a children’s pool and a bistronomic restaurant.

By 2027, Sandaya will invest more than 2.2 million in a further upscaling of the infrastructures and accommodation units. With Les Grenettes, the Group brings the number of its destinations to 69 across four European countries: France, Italy, Spain and Belgium.

The acquisition of Les Grenettes fits fully into our development trajectory: strengthening our presence in emblematic destinations while at the same time expanding our offer towards uses complementary to leisure tourism. With this hybrid site, at once a hotel, a campsite and an events venue, we are affirming our ability to provide diversified hospitality experiences that create value over the long term, said François Georges, President of the Sandaya Group.
