On 16 and 17 September, the Tube Les Bourdaines in Seignosse hosted the second edition of Socamp, the trade show entirely dedicated to outdoor hospitality professionals. Promoted by HPA des Landes and HPA des Pyrénées-Atlantiques and organised by Expomedia, the event reaffirmed its position as an important event for campsite managers, holiday villages, tourist residences, hotels and restaurants, who were able to meet producers, suppliers and specialised companies in the sector.
This year’s edition brought together more than 60 exhibitors and some 400 visitors for two days of exhibitions, networking and training sessions. The initiative was also supported by UMIH 40, the departmental section of Landes representing professionals in the hospitality and catering industry.
The Socamp conference programme, concentrated on the first day, proved particularly valuable. Lawyer Cyril Repain opened with a session on legal updates regarding noise pollution and neighbourhood disturbances. In the afternoon, Béatrice Faizon from Pépinières Lafitte discussed ways of preserving campsite biodiversity, with practical examples such as planting local species and creating shelters for wildlife. The programme closed with a presentation by Davis Montois, Regional Delegate BPACA, BPCE Lease, who provided an in-depth look at the benefits of financial leasing for outdoor hospitality businesses.
