Representatives of the Federació Catalana de Càmpings (FCC) and the Fédération de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air dOccitanie (FHPA Oc) met in Céret, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, at the beginning of March and agreed to establish a joint working commission in order to promote innovative projects.

This commission will focus in particular on the implementation of Artificial Intelligence tools applied to risk prevention and management, with the aim of strengthening the safety of campsites in the face of the new context of climate emergency. The commission’s first technical meeting will take place in April and will begin exploring European funding, including ERDF funds.

The meeting brought together, for the FCC, Miquel Gotanegra, president, Albert Casas, vice-president, Joan Aubanell and Josep Maria Pla, members, and Montse Ruiz, technical secretary. The FHPA Oc was represented by Philippe Robert, president, Angel Fernandez, vice-president, Caroline Belaubre, director, and Aude Galonnier, territorial manager.

The meeting in Céret thus strengthens the willingness of the two federations to work jointly on innovative and sustainable projects in order to address the common challenges faced by the sectors in the two territories.
