The Easter holidays marked an excellent start to the 2023 tourist season for Cavallino-Treporti, near Venice, thanks also to the fact that accommodation facilities decided to open as early as the first days of April. “During Easter there was a veritable onslaught to secure ‘a place in the sun’ on our resort, with guests coming from both Italy and abroad, especially from Germany,” said Francesco Berton, president of Assocamping.

Diversification and a wide range of activities

And this is just the beginning: there are already many bookings for the summer months in Cavallino-Treporti, and the merit lies in the great offer of this area, which over the years has committed itself to diversifying by proposing holidays based on relaxation, but also sport and cultural activities. “Guests arriving in the area can count not only on a clean sea and wide beaches,” comments Paolo Bertolini, president of the Cavallino-Treporti Tourist Park Consortium, the body that is responsible for promoting the area, “but also on excursions immersed in nature, or discovering and exploring the history that binds us to Venice and the hinterland, visiting museums, the renovated Via dei Forti with its magnificent fortifications, and much more. A holiday to be experienced, in short, to come back home with the desire to return”.

From now on, there will be many bridges that will attract tourists from abroad, especially Bavarians and Germans, until the high season, and the Cavallino-Treporti area is ready to present itself at its best, the only drawback being the search for personnel. On the one hand, in fact, there is a greater demand for workers on the part of accommodation facilities than in the past, but on the other there is less supply. The accommodation facilities say they are willing to accept new applications, also through the portal on the Assocamping website where, in the special area accessible from the home page, you can upload your application, which is automatically forwarded to all registered facilities.

Attention to sustainability

In addition to constantly investing in services and new initiatives to attract and satisfy more and more tourists, the accommodation facilities in Cavallino-Treporti are also committed to safeguarding the environment and the natural context in which they are located. And precisely in favour of the critical water issues that have hit 2022, this year they have planned a series of operations and controls to maintain greater environmental sustainability. “For several years, our facilities have been very careful about the use of water resources. Being open-air facilities, in fact, they have a particular sensitivity to the environmental issue, as well as to water management and recycling,” says the Assocamping president. “Even this year, when the drought emergency is being felt more strongly, we are adopting a whole series of measures to save and manage water in an increasingly rigorous and careful manner, also by liaising with the various reference bodies.”
