Ana Beriain, President of the Spanish Federation of Campsites (FEEC), has been awarded the “CaixaBank Hotels & Tourism Award” by Isabel Moreno, Territorial Director of Ebro at CaixaBank. The award crowns her extraordinary career in the management of hospitality facilities, particularly in the camping sector. An influential figure in the Spanish tourism industry, the Spanish entrepreneur has held prominent roles for years.
She is the owner and director of Camping el Molino in Navarra and the director of Camping Urbasa. In addition to her role as President of FEEC, Beriain also serves as Vice President of the Spanish Tourism Board, President of the Hotel and Tourism Association of Navarra, a member of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodations (CEHAT), a member of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Confederation of Hotel and Restaurant Commerce (CEHE), and President of the Campsite Association of Navarra.
In each of these roles, Beriain has made a significant contribution to the development of the Spanish tourism sector, and the received award is a fitting acknowledgment of her years of dedication in this direction.
Special edition dedicated to women
Even more significant is the fact that this year’s edition was specially dedicated to women: the award was titled “Empresarias con estrellas” (Businesswomen with Stars) to underline the important role women managers play in the hotel and tourism reception sector, contributing to the development and improvement of the tourism offering.
Beriain expressed her gratitude for the received award, hoping that this recognition inspires more women to become leaders in tourism and hospitality.
