Despite the period of international crisis, all forecasts on tourism remain positive. The latest analysis confirming a trend towards an expansion of this sector comes from the United States, where Allianz Partners<\/a>, an insurance company specializing in the world of travel, has published a research that predicts an increase in travel from the US to Europe by 600%. This is also thanks to the rapid disappearance of the restrictions that characterized the two years of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The company analyzed 40,000 itineraries between Memorial Day and Labor Day and estimated that 75% of travelers are preparing for a 7-day vacation, while 11% will be in Europe for 8 days. May 27, the Friday before Memorial Day, is the most popular travel day. The favorite destinations are, in order, London, Paris, Dublin, Reykjavik and Rome.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pandemic made people realize you can’t take travel for granted and many Americans are eager to visit Europe this summer,<\/em>\u201d said Daniel Durazo, director of external communications at Allianz Partners USA. \u201cEuropean destinations have made a significant effort to welcome Americans back and our data shows tremendous pent-up demand for travel to the continent.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n
