Agri & Slow Travel Expo<\/a>, the territories fair dedicated to slow and sustainable tourism, now in its 8th edition, presents itself with a series of new features. From March 30 to April 2 at<\/strong> the Bergamo Exhibition Centre (Italy), slow, active and outdoor tourism will be on stage,<\/strong> a new way of travelling in which the emotional experience focuses on sustainability and nature.\u00a0The decision to deepen outdoor holidays by favouring open-air facilities, undoubtedly stems from the trend in recent years that sees an increase in this type of “slow” tourism. This is borne out by the results of various research studies, including one carried out in the summer of 2022 by ENIT,<\/a> the Italian National Tourism Agency and Human Company<\/a> in collaboration with Istituto Piepoli, which reports that 25 million Italians who have planned a holiday, one in five chose an outdoor facility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Away from mass tourism<\/h4>\n

Agri & Slow Travel Expo promotes the discovery of the territory and small villages through nature trails,<\/strong> artistic and cultural itineraries, traditions, and good food. At the fair there will be not only stands, but experiences to be lived, which will accompany visitors in the discovery of a new way of travelling.<\/p>\n

A fair for two: B2B and B2C<\/h4>\n

On March 30 and 31 the trade fair will be open exclusively to sector operators<\/strong>. During these two days, it will be possible to meet and exchange views with buyers, associations, tour operators and tour organisers. It will be an opportunity to take stock of the market and the development of a sector in continuous movement and growth. From March 31 to April 2, the fair will be open to the public<\/strong>, who will be able to learn about the various opportunities offered by slow and experiential tourism in an engaging and emotional way.<\/p>\n

Cycling and walking tours<\/h4>\n

From North to South, many cycling itineraries will be presented at Agri & Slow Travel Expo<\/strong>, in cities of art, medieval villages, ideal for both professional cyclists and novice enthusiasts. Sustainable holidays are perfect for those who love to walk, moving slowly in search of and discovering the 100 or so paths throughout Italy.<\/p>\n

Mountains and gastronomic routes<\/h4>\n

There will be no shortage of spaces dedicated to the mountains at the fair<\/strong>: exhibitions and skill tests will involve the public with the aim of bringing new enthusiasts closer to the mountains and the infinite number of experiences they can offer in every season. There are also many sports that can be practised in the mountains, even out of season, such as trekking, nature walks, and mountain biking. There will also be many food and wine proposals<\/strong>, such as the Village of quality festivals, organised by UNPLI, Unione Proloco Italiane, which will bring to Agri & Slow Travel Expo the Italy of taste, typical products and the flavours of traditions. An area will be dedicated to “tasting the territories” through popular cuisine products.<\/strong><\/p>\n
