A significant discussion table<\/strong> was held yesterday at the headquarters of the Italian Ministry of Tourism between Minister Daniela Santanch\u00e8<\/strong> and the main representative associations of the open-air tourism sector<\/strong>. In the front row are, among others, FAITA-FederCamping<\/a> and Assocamp<\/a> to discuss the growth that outdoor tourism is experiencing<\/strong> during the current summer.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, FAITA underlined how the open-air sector is successfully responding<\/strong> to the evolution of tourist demand, increasingly oriented towards a holiday philosophy based on quality, sustainability, and accessibility<\/strong>. Campsites and tourist villages are confirmed as protagonists of the entire national tourist chain, offering experiential stays<\/strong>, where the journey itself, especially in the case of itinerant tourism in motorhomes, takes on an emotional and experiential component.<\/p>\n

Minister Santanch\u00e8<\/strong> expressed the clear desire to enhance every single segment<\/strong> of the sector and underlined the importance of meeting the associations<\/strong> that represent this rapidly growing type of tourism. Open-air tourism, thanks to its sustainability, environmental sensitivity, well-being and contact with nature, is attracting an increasingly large audience, leaving the niche and defining a unique and exclusive experience<\/strong> for its guests.<\/p>\n

A table to be made structural<\/h4>\n

The Minister also confirmed that the establishment of institutional tables on open-air tourism is one of the primary governance objectives<\/strong> envisaged by the Strategic Tourism Plan. \u201cI am satisfied with the outcome of the meeting, which brought out some interesting ideas and a certain unity of purpose with the parties present, especially in terms of future developments in the sector,<\/em>\u201d said Daniela Santanch\u00e8 on the sidelines of the meeting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In concert with the associations, the Ministry of Tourism will work to define a single legislation at national level<\/strong>which serves to formulate a classification of rest areas<\/strong>, including their implementation, requalification, and recognisability. The objective is to make the discussion table structural<\/strong>, also involving the regional councilors for tourism, to favor a homogeneous development of open-air tourism throughout the national territory.<\/p>\n
