This is a growing industry, with an <strong>annual turnover of approximately <\/strong><strong>\u20ac<\/strong><strong>34.5 billion<\/strong>, making it a key sector not only in tourism but also in the overall German economy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For this reason, the associations <strong>BVCD<\/strong> (which represents over 1,200 campsites), <strong>CIVD<\/strong> (which brings together nearly all European leisure vehicle manufacturers, as well as service providers, institutions, and industry associations), and <strong>DCHV<\/strong>(the largest industry association in Germany for specialized trade and caravan rentals) have decided to collaborate more closely to promote the importance of camping tourism and <strong>to urge policymakers to make decisions that will help build the future of the sector,<\/strong> such as those related to infrastructure expansion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, the camping industry in Germany includes over 3,200 campsites, 5,400 motorhome parking areas, and more than 68 million overnight stays. These significant figures require corresponding development policies. The <strong>first national summit<\/strong> where representatives of the three signatory associations will meet is set to take place soon <strong>in Berlin<\/strong>.
