Italy holds a strong position on the booking platform<\/strong>. It ranks second for total number of bookings, share of total revenue, and average booking amount. German campers in particular are strongly represented.<\/strong> A striking 45% of bookings for Italian campsites come from Germany. The Netherlands follows with 18%, then Italy itself with 10%, and the United Kingdom, France and Switzerland each with 5%.<\/p>\n

The popularity of the various provinces and regions depends on several factors<\/strong>: distance from the rest of Europe, name recognition, and of course size \u2013 meaning the number of campsites.
