At the SETT in Montpellier, we met with Alberto Granzotto<\/strong>, President of FAITA Federcamping<\/strong>, the Italian Federation of campsites, to review the recently concluded season<\/strong> and discuss the main development themes<\/strong> for the open-air tourism sector in Italy. Granzotto shared his experience at the Forum Open Air in Rome<\/strong>, highlighting how the event represented a moment of growth for the association and an opportunity for dialogue with institutions.<\/p>\n

Over the three days, regulatory, landscape, and promotional topics were explored<\/strong>, with the participation of government representatives, including Minister Daniela Santanch\u00e8<\/strong> and the Vice President of the Senate, Gian Marco Centinaio<\/strong>. Particular attention was given to communication, marketing, and the use of technology, also aimed at supporting smaller companies in adopting innovative tools.<\/p>\n

A key focus of the interview was the ESG sustainability project<\/strong>, developed by FAITA Federcamping<\/a> with the support of Banca Intesa and eAmbiente. The project allows companies to grow in a balanced way across three dimensions<\/strong> \u2013 environmental, social, and governance \u2013 providing measurement tools, certifications for mobile homes, and access to subsidised financing. Granzotto emphasised how sustainability can translate into tangible benefits<\/strong>, not only environmentally but also economically and financially, for accommodation providers.<\/p>\n

Regarding training and raising awareness among operators, the FAITA Academy<\/strong> was presented \u2013 a programme designed to support companies throughout the year in developing ESG-related skills<\/strong>, without requiring excessive investment.<\/p>\n

Finally, Granzotto outlined the main regulatory issues to monitor in the short term: the accatastamento legislation<\/strong> and the completion of the landscape regulation process<\/strong>, pending the opinion of the Council of State for final approval. The aim is to establish a clear and coherent framework<\/strong> that enhances the sector, particularly the mobile home model, integrating it into the general regulations for tourism in Italy.<\/p>\n
