Although the historical period leaves much room for uncertainty, in France all the 4 major BtoB events in the open-air sector have confirmed their regular development: Sett, Atlantica, ÉQUIP’HPA and IODE. The most important, the Sett of Montpellier, will be held from 3 to 5 November. Born in 1978, this is the event dedicated to equipment and technical infrastructure in tourism that is aimed only at professionals (campsites managers, bars, hotels, restaurants, bed-and-breakfasts, catering services and local community organizations, landscapers, technical managers and so on). The 2020 edition, the 42nd, will be organized on an area of over 55,000 square meters, with 9 exhibition pavilions and over 400 exhibitors who confirmed their participation in June. In 2019 the event registered about 16,000 participants.
The Sett will be preceded by Atlantica, scheduled from 12 to 15 October in La Rochelle. The salon, organized by the Fédération Nationale de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air (FNHPA), is dedicated to outdoor accommodation and related equipment and services. For its 23rd edition, despite the particular context, optimism prevails, and Atlantica Show is preparing to welcome at least 400 exhibitors, spread over 13,000 square meters outdoors and 6 covered pavilions, for a total area of 45,000 square meters. Last year the event saw the presence of almost 8,000 visitors.
At the end of November, precisely on the 25th and 26th, it will then be the turn of ÉQUIP’HPA in Le Touquet, in northern France, which for the 18 time will deal with equipment for tourism and communities. Finally, the seasonal program will end at the beginning of the new year, on 27 and 28 January, with IODE, in Vannes. The event dedicated to tourism and leisure equipment will also be an opportunity to host the 46th edition of the National Congress of the FNHPA. The organizers expect 170 exhibitors and 2,500 visitors.
