Messe Stuttgart, due to the pandemic precautions, has decided to bring the CMT in digital version directly to the computer and smartphone screens of the operators and visitors, on Tuesday 26 January 2021. “We are obviously aware that a public show with almost 300,000 visitors and well over 2,000 exhibitors cannot simply be transferred to the Internet“, says Guido von Vacano, member of the board of Messe Stuttgart. “We are however convinced that we have identified the key elements that allow us to create a historic digital day“.
The online event, therefore, features a series of press conferences, product news presentations and B2B conferences. “CMT is not only the largest public fair in the world for tourism and leisure, but it is also the event that kicks off the season at the beginning of the year,” says Alexander Ege, director of the CMT. “Taking on the responsibility of maintaining our commitment in any way is our role and we think we have found the most effective solution despite the fact that it is not possible to organize large public shows“.
A historic premiere: CMT 2021 digital but also on site
Exhibitors from the tourism, caravan and cycling sectors present their innovations and offers planned for CMT 2021 in digital sessions. The individual press conferences and panel discussions will be broadcasted from the Messe Stuttgart television studio of the Stuttgart International Congress Center (ICS). Journalists and operators in the sector will thus have the opportunity to connect digitally and experience and learn about all the news of the various segments. “We are very proud to have made this communication platform operational, in such a short time, and that numerous exhibitors are choosing CMTdigital to present their products and services in 2021“, says Ege more.
To make this new and digital formula effective for journalists, bloggers and vloggers, in collaboration with the authorities CMT has created the possibility for a limited number of professionals to follow the press conferences in the on-site studio. Manufacturers and OEM component makers will also be able to exhibit their ranges and innovations digitally on site, in a special hall, strictly planned to ensure all health precautions. This will allow journalists and content creators to also take a “live” look at the new products featured in the stream. CMT has also made it possible to ask questions online, for each event, even for those who will follow presentations remotely, from a PC, tablet or smartphone.
How to follow CMTdigital 2021
CMTdigital will take place on Tuesday 26 January 2021. The live streaming of the press conferences, presentations and events is available at www.messe-stuttgart.de/cmt. The program and the list of participating exhibitors and products presented will be available from mid-January. CMTdigital is mainly aimed at B2B visitors and media representatives. Registration or accreditation to access the stream is not required.
Media representatives who will have the opportunity to attend the event in the Messe Stuttgart studios, as well as learn about the innovations presented by the sector at the Stuttgart exhibition center, will be able to meet the technical and commercial representatives of the brands and produce video and photographic material. The vehicles will be exhibited in a special hall, following all health regulations to preserve the safety of the operators. Participation on site is reserved exclusively for media representatives, journalists, bloggers and vloggers who can show adequate credential. The number of participants is limited and accreditation for on-site participation will be starting from Tuesday 12 January 2021.
