After the confirmation of the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, the Salone del Camper in Parma will be also held regularly on the originally established dates: from 12 to 20 September. This was confirmed by the two main organizers of the event – Fiere di Parma and APC (Association of Caravan and Camper Manufacturers) – who are now studying measures of distancing, sanitization of the pavilions, vehicles and all the structures, as well as providing masks, gels and everything that will be needed to be truly anti-Coronavirus.

It is difficult to predict the impact of the absence of some major exhibitors who have already decided to forgo all the 2020 fairs (Hymer and its brands, Pössl, Concorde and Lippert Components) and the partial overlap with the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, which will close its doors on 13 September. The organizers of the most important sector event in Italy are, however, optimistic, strong of the numbers reached in recent years, with an average of more than 130,000 attendances, more than 350 exhibitors and more than 700 vehicles on display.

For the 11th edition of the Salone del Camper, the main thematic areas are confirmed: Caravan and Camper (with a rich exhibition of recreational vehicles), Accessories and Tents, Routes and Destinations (where to discover territories, routes, destinations and delight of local food and wine excellence) and the Shopping Area.

We announce with great satisfaction that the Camper 2020 Show will be done!” says Simone Niccolai, President of the APC – Caravan and Camper Manufacturers Association. “This is an important signal for our industry, which employs over 7,000 people and generates a turnover of over one billion euros. But not only that. It is also a strong signal for Italy that wants to leave, and can do so also thanks to motorhomes, surely the safest means of transport, in which a family remains ‘isolated’ as if it were in their own home, not giving up holidays and travel at the same time. Tourism in Freedom once again proves to be a driving force for our country.”

Antonio Cellie, CEO of Fiere di Parma, is satisfied. “We are really happy to start again with a fair dedicated to a sector that is a pride of our Made in Italy and with an event that thanks to the collaboration with APC and the location of Parma has become the second in Europe,” he said. “The large size and strict procedures of our neighborhood allow us to welcome serenely and safely the more than 100,000 visitors who have been in Parma for 10 years in September to share their passion for Freedom.”
