We have just returned from the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. An exhibition that is open and successful, despite the absence of some major players in the sector. Caravan and camper manufacturers are selling well at the show, in line with current expectations. The Düsseldorf show has limited the total number of admissions each day to a maximum of 20,000 visitors (considering there was a record attendance of over 270,000 in 2019). Up to yesterday, the data available said there had been 65,000 visitors so far (half way through the show). To guarantee compliance with the maximum number of daily visitors, tickets can only be purchased online until sold out. Furthermore, practically everywhere, in the halls and outside, there are staff in charge of enforcing the hygiene and infection control protocols, including the (correct) use of face masks. In a few days, the Salone del Camper di Parma in Italy will start, and we will also be present at that fair. In addition, we will, of course, be at the SUN Beach & Outdoor Style show in Rimini, Italy, scheduled for October 14 to 16, 2020, of which we are also media partners. The organizers have no doubt that there is a great desire to meet and communicate. Even this show, albeit with some important absences, promises to be very interesting. There is still the opportunity to register to participate as exhibitors and, with a little luck, also to obtain grants and subsidized loans. The safety protocol is contained in the Safe Business project, including the calculation of maximum crowding, mandatory paths to comply with the social distancing, and a continuous surveillance service to monitor compliance with the rules. In regard to hygiene and cleanliness, the organization will apply the standards defined by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC). The editorial team of Camping Business will be there. And as we have done in the past, from the pages of Golden Camping magazine, we will present all the news, tell you about the new trends, and share the thoughts and vision of entrepreneurs and experts in the camping industry. So, see you at the SUN?
