Margherita Facchini – San Francesco Camping Village

San Francesco Camping Village is one of the most successful outdoor accommodation facilities not only on the shores of Garda Lake, but throughout Italy. Countermeasures and hygienic safety have been implemented promptly and fully effectively, but innovation, continuous investments and attention to detail and customer service are always the trump cards of this historic camping, also loved by foreigners, who, however, have left this year many free pitches for Italian tourists. Camping Business interviewed Margherita Facchini, owner of the facility.

Camping Business: How did San Francesco prepare for welcoming guests in this particular 2020 season?
Margherita Facchini: First of all, with common sense and careful study on the prevention of the various scenarios that may occur in this anomalous year. But the experience lived during the emergency makes us understand that, in life, every single detail of a season can be programmed, but just a single accident can occur, and everything must be reprogrammed. We professionally interpreted the lockdown as an opportunity to reorganize ourselves and show who we are and what we are worth. The recovery, for all companies, is not only important economically for the territory where they operate, but also humanly and in terms of cohesion of the territory itself.

In this sense, we are seeing important examples, also and especially by entrepreneurs, of managing companies with a new breath of awareness between owners, suppliers, customers and employees: a circle that produces more and seems to have started raising the quality of work, and therefore of the product, for everyone. The today great challenge, in my opinion, is that even the business world is challenged, questions about the future and creates a new community, with new ways and new goals. We have verified, even starting from these few opening days, in fact, that the customer immediately perceives and appreciates this new climate.
