SFC Energy is present at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf (hall 13, booth A36), not only with its environmentally friendly Efoy fuel cells series, but also with an important news. In fact, together with CIVD (Caravaning Industrie Verband), or the association that represents the recreational vehicle industry in Germany, it exhibits, in an outdoor equipped area outside the exhibition grounds, new energy generators for campsites, rest areas and stationary camping applications.
Based on hydrogen (H2) and direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) technology, these generators of the Efoy series represent an eco-sustainable solution for the campsites, which can offer a type of stay that respects the environment and is in tune with the nature. The applications are numerous: from gated entrances to automatic ticket machines, from information terminals to the video surveillance system. Paired with a solar power system, the Efoy fuel cell is also capable of providing power if the parking space itself does not have access to the conventional power grid.
Through Efoy Cloud, it is possible to remotely control the entire management of the fuel cell, locate it and adjust its settings based on environmental conditions or analyze its historical data. The Efoy Hydrogen, for applications in the power range from 2.5 to 50 kilowatts (kW), opens up additional possibilities. With the addition of a solar module and electrolyzer, campsites can become producers of green hydrogen and, for example, operate a hydrogen filling station for their visitors.
“We are seizing opportunities to make camping vacations even more environmentally friendly. To this end, we have solutions for motor homes and the campsite infrastructure in our portfolio with hydrogen and methanol fuel cells from our Efoy series”, says Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy. “Once again, we are creating decisive added value for the entire community, to which we are particularly committed”.
