TTG / SUN / SIA will showcase, in safety, thanks to the #SafeBusiness project

It is now confirmed that the most important Italian professional fair dedicated to tourism will be held also for the 2020 edition. TTG travel Experience, indeed, will open from October 14th to 16th, 2020. No indications were given yet about SUN Beach & Outdoor and SIA Hospitality Design, the two related fairs, focused for the manufacturers of the sector in order to introduce their news. Furthermore, many wondered how, given the current prescription to social distancing and the sanitation, this opening would ever be possible.

The answer comes with a press release from the Italian Exhibition Group which, in addition to mentioning all three events in its communication, explicitly confirmed then, marks on the organization, operating in safe conditions and full compliance with protocols to protect the health of guests.

This will be possible thanks to #SAFEBUSINESS by IEG, a project launched by the Rimini’s fair organization, after focusing on each phase of the event experience and providing clear indications, also given by visuals, reminding every critical point and giving solutions.

The rigorous protocol shows over fifty indications
Among others: shuttle service with the airport, sanitized, to hotel and fair, disinfectants and mandatory masks on board and a programmed number of travelers; agreements with bike and scooter sharing companies with hotels and local areas; online ticket payments only, admissions scheduled according to the capacity of the pavilions and extended opening hours; mask distribution desk, mandatory to wear. For the disabled, specific aids, such as transparent masks for IEG staff to facilitate the relationships. Multiple entrances, safety corridors and distance signs, public controls with thermo-scanner and sanitization, automatic wardrobe.

The entire production line is designed and managed for safety: the flow of visitors is digitally monitored by a centralized system and supervision on site is up to remote-controlled stewards. Continuous sanitation for all areas, rooms and services, sanitation for the filters of the air conditioning channels. Only digital information material, multimedia production and live streaming to support events, conferences, media. For catering: temperature control of workers, gloves, masks, payments with app, lunch boxes and single-portion coffee boxes, delivered to the boots by a coded process.

A strong crisis management protocol has been established in order to define behaviors in case of suspicious cases. IEG employees and event staff will be trained to guarantee the performance of the safety tasks, the use of PPE, the compliance with protocols of disinfection and social spacing.

The president of Italian Exhibition Group, Lorenzo Cagnoni, announces that the company has decided on mass serological screening, on a voluntary basis, for the employees. “We adopted it to protect our collaborators and employees and all our relational system. Since we operate in different regions, we will do it according to all the protocols: an application, indeed, has already been submitted to Emilia Romagna Region”.
