The pandemic concerns have led to very difficult situations. If everything related to information, control and prevention is all in all acquired, the real unknown factor concerns cancellations, reservations and any problems related to manifestations of the Covid-19 disease. To allow accommodation facilities not to succumb to unexpected events, Italian FAITA Federcamping has signed an agreement with Nobis Assicurazioni to make available, exclusively to its members, a complete specific insurance policy.
The formula provides an almost total coverage, with a series of guarantees aimed at protecting those who book a stay in an accommodation facility. There are, for example, a reimbursement of expenses for the payment of penalties in case of reservation cancellation (also in the case of contagion from Covid-19 or for the interruption of the stay due to quarantine), compensation for the theft of baggage, a reimbursement for medical expenses incurred during the trip, a reimbursement of the costs for the return/medical transport and an allowance for hospitalization and convalescence due to Covid-19 infection. The scheme you see below summarizes the main guarantees.
The Trip Cancellation Guarantee reimburses the customer penalties even in the event of contagion from Covid-19 before departure and is valid on the refundable and NON-refundable rates based on the penalties that each individual structure applies. Also interesting is the possibility of ensuring the reservations received before the contract is signed: for an accommodation facility, this means not even thinking about the voucher anymore, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
The cost of the policy, which has an annual duration, is calculated on the amounts actually collected, therefore also on the down payment only and not on the total amount foreseen for the stay, and is equal to a rate of 2%. Once activated, the policy will automatically be valid for all customers who purchase a stay. The premium adjustment will be monthly, calculated on the sum of the amounts collected communicated to the company.
The multi-risk Viaggi Filo Diretto Open Air insurance does not require other commissions or expenses and guarantees free support and assistance both to the structure and its customer. In addition, members will be provided with customizable information material that can be made available to the customer.
