November 8, 9, and 10. These are the dates on which the largest European event dedicated to the camping industry will open its doors to the public. SETT 2022, organized as usual in France, in Montepellier, will celebrate a successful season and will help entrepreneurs from all over the continent to lay the foundations for a 2023 where the challenges will be linked not so much to attracting the public as to improving efficiency and costs.
Internationally recognized, the fair is reserved for professionals: owners and managers of campsites, hotels, leisure parks, cafes and bars, beach tourism professionals, owners of bed and breakfasts, local communities, landscapers, technical managers and so on. The SETT offers tourism specialists a comprehensive view of the different sectors that meet the needs and requirements of this industry. With about 600 exhibitors, 15,000 visitors and 55,000 square meters of exhibition, the French event is divided into these thematic areas: equipments, HoReCa equipments, green areas, leisure accommodation, games and hobbies, pools and wellness, services and communication.
Initially conceived by the Fédération de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air Languedoc-Roussillon, the organization of the show, curated by Code Events, was then gradually joined by other regional partner federations: Midi-Pyrénées, Rhône-Alpes, Auvergne, Corsica, Limousin , Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur and Bourgogne Franche-Comté. From a purely regional event, the SETT (Salon des équipements et techniques du tourisme) has developed, modernized, and internationalized over the years, to become the leading event for the entire industry.
SETT d’OR awards
Wanting to underline the importance of innovation, the SETT organizes every year the SETT d’OR de l’Innovation Trophy which awards five companies through a jury made up of professionals from the Hôtellerie de Plein Air. This award – created jointly by the Organizing Committee, the FHPA Languedoc-Roussillon, its partners and the French trade magazine Décisions – rewards the players in the sector who stand out for the originality and innovation of their products or services. Last year BNG Interactive Technology, Floodframe, IRM, Ramberti, and Time Shaker won the SETT d’OR 2021.
SETT 2022 will take place at the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier with different opening hours depending on the day: Tuesday November 8 from 10:00 am to 07:00 pm, Wednesday November 9 from 9:00 am to 07:00 pm, and Thursday November 10 from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm.
