BHI, the Italian subsidiary of Bio Habitat, has announced the 2027 edition of its Key West mobile home range, aimed at the premium segment of the open-air hospitality market. The new collection introduces design updates, upgraded interior finishes and a reinforced insulation system, reflecting the growing focus on accommodation comfort, energy performance and durability in campsites and holiday resorts.

The 2027 range comprises four models, including the Key West 2Ca Slim, one of the collection’s best-selling layouts. The interiors combine wood, travertine-effect surfaces and porcelain stoneware with a restrained colour palette. In the living areas, the kitchen features full-extension drawers, an integrated sink in an ultra-thin worktop, push-to-open lower cabinets and integrated appliances. The sleeping areas follow a hotel-inspired approach, with full-height wardrobes, high-quality bed linen and direct access to the terrace. Bathrooms include showers measuring 120 x 80 centimeters.

Externally, the new models feature a single-pitch roof, large openings and black contemporary-style window frames. The project aims to create a closer visual link between the homes and their outdoor surroundings, featuring terraces as presented by LamAmbiente and water features created by Aquaspecialfor the Rimini stand.
Exclusive cladding to be unveiled at InOut Rimini
One of the main announcements for the Italian market is an exclusive version of the Key West 2027, which BHI will present at InOut | The Hospitality Community in Rimini. This model will feature fibre cement cladding with a bronze finish, offering an alternative to conventional exterior treatments for operators seeking a distinctive architectural appearance and careful integration into the surrounding landscape.
Beyond aesthetics, BHI highlights the material’s fire-resistant properties and resistance to external conditions. The company says the cladding is non-combustible and designed to contribute to the protection of accommodation units against fire risks, while supporting long-term durability.
Reinforced insulation as standard
The 2027 collection also incorporates ultra-reinforced insulation derived from the Hatha concept introduced by BHI in 2024. According to the company, the system is designed to improve thermal comfort and energy performance. The development comes as the expected service life of mobile homes increases and energy-efficiency requirements continue to evolve.
Founded in 1992, Bio Habitat develops and manufactures mobile homes through a portfolio of brands including O’Hara, IRM, Coco Sweet and BHI. The group reports more than 260,000 accommodation units installed and approximately 950 employees across seven industrial sites in France and Italy, including its facility in Castello d’Argile, near Bologna.
Through BHI – Bio Habit Italia, the group serves the Italian market with accommodation concepts for campsites and resorts, including the Lounge range, the premium Key West collection, Coco Sweet unusual lodges and Modul’O private sanitary facilities.
